• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Well, I finally switched from a browser to a builder. Here's my new project:

20090811_193133_PIC_001_resized.jpg

I bought this in Dallas on Saturday, loaded it up on a truck and drove 1000 miles to get it home.

My short-term plan is to finishwelding on the last few brackets, mount the skins, and fabricate/install everything that bolts ontothe fuselage. After that, I'll strip it back down and get the fuse painted/powdercoated.

I'd like to thank Dave for his fine workmanship and attention to detail (and for selling it to me, of course), Kevin Kimball for taking the time to answer all my questions so thoroughly, and all the posters to this forum for the vast archive of knowledge you have created to help people like me.

Well, I guess I know what I'm gonna be doing with my spare time over the next 5-10 years!!

Take Care,

Ed
