In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Looks like my S1 has some other issues. This time it appears that the rubber bumpers are missing so it is metal on metal and has a toe in camber as a result. Would not recommend the person that did the pre-purchase!
I have looked at the S1 plans which calls for 1" x 3" x 3/4" Rubber 70 duro. I have no idea what a duro is, I am assuming it is the hardness. Does anyone know a rubber source or a better option for the bumpers? Would a machined nylon or delrin block do the trick or does it need to be springy?
