Looks like I have sourced a hangar at the Reno Stead Airport and even found a hangar partner to share the rent, he's building a RV-12. He already has his complete kit prior to the laser drilled hole issue. I've managed a dozen flights since the beginning of October when my Pitts S-2A arrived. Other than a new battery and a tube change it's been flying once a week. It's time for some more services, oil change, etc. The S-2B that I used to fly seemed like we added a bit of brake fluid regularly as usually one of the brakes would get a tiny bit soft. I plan to change the brake pads, install my new Sky-Tech starter, replace and swing the compass, mostly minor stuff. ( Under A&P supervision with some help of course ). I did notice the right brake might be getting soft so I'll set up a small oil can hand pump and add brake fluid. Seems like there's just as many posts that say add from the top or pump up from the bottom. What's the best method to just add a squirt of brake fluid to the reservoir, top or bottom? I'm enjoying this plane immensely but with it getting colder and fewer days to fly it's maintenance time. Also plan to have a new Garmin com radio installed. It's great having this forum, so "again", many thanks to all that have answered my questions.
Anyone have the total number of S-2A's built?
