I picked up the squeezer for another rivet, the handle was opened to 90 degrees. I tried to cloes it but it was locked in that position. I looked at the handle lock lever, it was gone, laying on my desk along with a roll pin and a tiny ball bearing.
I emailed Aircraft Tool Supply, place of purchase, and asked them for some reassembly guidance or an exploded view. I just got a reply from Michele at Aircraft Tool Supply, - - -
"Was this tool purchased from Aircraft Tool Supply or another vendor?"
I don't want to play this game, I just want to reassemble the squeezer and get back to work. I am enclosing a photo. The roll pin falls right through the hole in the locking lever and the ball bearing is totally recessed into the partial hole in the lever. From what I can see there is a shaft inside the handle with a spring on the bottom which I can pry up with an awl which I am sure is the "tension" when the height of the squeeze is adjusted..
I am pretty sure the roll pin is the hinge point but I am not seeing any way to get it inside the handle - - -
I know, this is like winning the unlimited at Nationals but not knowing how to gas up the plane
Thank you,
