Has anyone bought the Pitts S-1E assembly manual for sale on the Smith Miniplane site?

http://www.skysmith.com/Products.htm

I was wondering if it might contain any useful info for someone building a Pitts S1 from components (Wolf, Steen, etc). I was also wondering how good the quality was. This is surely a copy of a copy being such an old document.

Is it legit to be selling copies of this? Patents on the S1 aircraft should all be expired by now, but copyright laws last much longer and I would think that would cover works such as this manual.
The same site also has S-1D wing blueprints. I did not know there was a vendor for S-1D wing drawings. I of course knew that Steen legally owns the rights to the S1C drawings and have developed their own symmetrical wings for it. I guess I just assumed the factory retained the rights to everything after the S-1C including the S-1D wing blueprints.
Thanks in advance for any replies!!-Chris.
