• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hi everyone, I fly a 180 h.p s1-c w/ a factory s-model (long) fuse. I would like to replace my c- wings w/ a 4- aileron, round bottom version. Any info on where to start would be great. Can I use any of the hardware in my c-wings to build with, fittings, wires bell cranks ect. ? I have a set of steens s1-ss plans but perfer to build from scratch due to the beer can budget that i am on, Just finished a lower end overhaul on the I0-360-B4A. Also i would sell/trade my current c-wings. they have about 1000 hrs. on them and were covered w/ poly fiber in 91. they were built by the late George Bost from the Miami area. THANKS!
