• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $29.95/year to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I am looking for a biplane with a good pedigree (paperwork, builders logs, etc.). Prefer 180 - 200 hp, canopy/open combo would be niceand am prepared to purchase the right aircraft immediately. Be assured that your baby will have a good home !!

Mine fits the bill except the open canopy part. I flew my family in a 172 today and have to admit it was nice to have them in there with me. The tailwheel is in the wrong place though.

I keep threatening to sell mine, I just don't know if I am ready. I don't say this as a sells pitch, but you will see Acro Sports make your heart all warm and fuzzy when you have one. I will keep you in mind if I get anymore serious about selling. One thing I can assure you with mine is the welds deep inside and not seen are as nice as the ones you can see. They almost look like what you would see on a Diamond Back bicycle frame that was welded by a machine. Paul Muhle is one heck of a builder.

My saying when looking for a plane is, " you can't pay to much for a good one and you can't pay to little for a bad one. " With that said, I do have a budget that I stay in and only look for planes within my reach. I won't just pay $300,000 for an Extra just because its good. Well if something changes or I find something interesting I'll send it your way. Regard John
