Can anybody tell me the allowable CG range and datum location for the SA-100? The W&B sheet in my plane shows a range of 22.69-23.76 (but I think that's the actual weighed range, not the allowable), the top wing leading edge as the datum, and a gross weight of 1290#, but a sample W&B with info from the prototype SA-100 N70P included with the paperwork shows a range of 20.6-25.08, with the firewall as the datum. So what are the correct numbers and datum? Or can anybody tell me the distance from the firewall to the leading edge? I don't have access to the plane now, and won't until I pick it up next month.
But, the calculations for my plane don't jive; with the given weights I get a most forward CG of 22.04 (full fuel, 170# pilot) and a most aft CG of 24.53 (170# pilot, 1/2 gallon fuel).
I haven't flown it yet, but I'm told it seems to fly nose heavy.
