• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

When I got out of the Army I stayed for a year and fell in love with all the islands. Now I found myself in a cold weather miserable climate (I'm a southern boy). I will soon be graduating from A&P and CFIIMEI school and be heading to hawaii the first flight I can get my keister on. My questionis since there are no ferry tanks large enough (that i've found yet), what is the ROUGH cost to get a single hole pitts shipped to Oahu? I'm just trying to plan ahead but would have to have one of these situations where it costs more to ship an airplane and fix it once it gets there than buy the damn thing outright.Any advice is appreciated but I amlooking more for numbers than "you're and idiot" or things along those linyoures. Thanks for your time and advice and look forward to hearing from all of you.
