In order to answer the questions that were asked from Chris's thread about my problems with the Aerothane paint I started this new thread. Let me start by saying I have used the Stits process on four projects of my own, starting in 1977. I have always been happy with the process including the most recent ASII project except for the Aerothane paint. The main problem came with the lighter colors: in my case white and yellow. Getting the paint to go on smooth with no orange peel or runs and cover properly was a real problem. I have heard this from friends that are or have shot the paint since the formula was changed back in 06 or 07. I am still a fan of the Stits process but will be looking for an alternative to the Aerothane if I do another project.
