What's up guys?
So my new little S1C has a Raven locking tailwheel. All my other biplanes have had a steerable tailwheel.
Just curious how you guys taxi with the locking wheel? I am trying different ways. Seems you can taxi with it unlocked but have to ride the brakes the whole time. The other way is to lock it and not wide the brakes. Mine has 0 slack so to S-turn I have to unlock it. I was told some people grind the locking groove to give it enough slack to S-turn with it locked?
Looking for info. At first I hated it but I kinda like it now. It is there and new so really no reason to change it.
