I have built several plywood turtledecks but this is my first aluminum one. The front and rear bulkheads and formers, floor and turtledeck are completed and clecoed together on the airframe as I work on the sliding canopy. I have yet to make the center turtledeck former (rear baggage compartment former.) I have a 1/8" plywood pattern that fits perfectly but I haven't figured out how to attach the actual bulkhead to the turtledeck skin. Alum. angle will work to attach it to the floor but not the skin as the skin tapers toward the tail. I have thought of using 1" wide angled tabs bent 90 degrees plus in 4-6 locations but this seems a very flimsy attachment to me plus the bulkhead itself would not be very rigid without a flange. I have reached the point I have to do this soon so how are these bulkheads attached to the skin??
Thank you,
