John do you or someone else have pictures of these fittings mounted on the front and rear spars in relation to the upper wing spar center line?
It seems to me that these fittings need to be a bit taller and should pick up more of the scab plate above the center line of spar at both the front and rear.
The center line on the front and rear spar, appear to line up with the top 1/4" holes in these fitting according to the plans? I think that this is correct but am wondering if anyone else has thought about or wondered why these plates are mounted like this, and do not cover more of the upper part of both spars?
Does this question make sense or am I just reading the drawings wrong? I have not installed the scab plates or drilled any holes in the spars yet nor do I intend to, until I rig the upper wing on the airplane!
Thanks in advance to anyone that cares to comment or post some pictures on this subject. Dave
