When measuring the moment for the pilot and passenger seats, what specific spot is used for the measurement? My question relates to where is the center of gravity for a person sitting in the aircraft seat. With the back slightly reclined and the legs and feet forward, what specific location of the body do you use for the aircraft CG calculations. Do you use the bottom rear tube of the seat bottom, the center of the seat, or?
I have been flying my Acro Sport II for 24 years and almost 600 hours, but I have never asked another Acro Sport II owner exactly how they did their CG calculations for changes to the CG with or without a passenger or for heavier pilots or passengers.
Thoughts?
