I am using 1/16 ply to make the turtledeck, with a glass overlay. I soaked the ply in a hot shower for an hour the other night and strapped it to the fuse to dry. It worked well. When I originally welded up the attach strip to the upper longeron, I used some sheet 4130 and drilled it for 3/32 rivets, anticipating at the time that I would be using aluminum. Attaching the wood seems a little more cumbersome only because of the sin against riveting wood. So, what I am thinking is to use some 3M A/B epoxy along the attach strips and bows and neverthelessrivet through the ply with flush CS rivets.
Anyone have any other ideas or concerns with my approach?
