• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Another good guy taken to soon

I only knew Scotty Ivey through my longtime (11yrs and going strong) girlfriend. He was her best friends ex husband and they all grew up together. After my girlfriends friend and he split we didn't see him much. They do have two boys and he was a terrific dad to them. He was their hero. He didn't share the aviation bug but did share alot of my interests In cars and bikes and the culture. I post this on this forum because I have been profoundly effected by his passing even though we had hardly spent anytime together. He took his family (he remarried and took his boys) to a car show this past weekend in Fort Smith,AR. He lived in a small town in OK called Wilburton. He had to be at work Sunday so he drove one of his custom cars back home late Saturday/early Sunday. Due to a Drunk, illegal immigrant crossing into his lane at 2:50am he left this world. I guess I post this as a wake up to all about drinking and driving and about enjoying the time we have. It has been posted on his Facebook that he told a bunch of people he had everything he ever wanted. Family, good job, all the toys he wanted etc etc. only thing else he wanted (I'm sure he said this in fun) is to be famous. He was building two custom 1953 trucks for his boys and now with everyone's help his friends are finishing those trucks for his boys. If I was in his shoes it would mean the world to me. He was only 32. His boys will forever be changed. Below is a few pictures of the man , the accident C-10 and his Gofundme link. Thanks for reading this I'm going to go hug my kids and kiss the girlfriend once more before I head to bed... ImageUploadedByBiplane Forum1408763759.487401.jpg
