My new to me Aeronca 65-TC has a butyrate dope finish. And is looking chaulky and has a few spot of hail damage. The fabric is good. It was recovered in 1993 and has like 200ish hours on it and hangared always....but for some time the “hangar” was a no walls kind of hangar. That’s where the sun and hail got to it.
My question is...I just wasn’t to make it look alittle better without re spraying whole plane or re covering. And I need to sand/fill/paint the hail spots.
I have always heard of rejuvenator but never used it or seen it used. Can you do this with the plane still in one piece? Will it help the chaulky issues?
Any and all advise welcome. I’m not looking for a perfect or recover. I want to be flying and working on my Starduster Too!
