The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hello, all. I have a "C" model under construction. It seems that neither the Steen plans nor the factory S1S plans are clear on the location of the aileron bellcrank location along the spar. I realize that they are in different stations on the spar ("C" vs. S1S) however, I have included pics of both plansets to show that there is no station published. One theory is that the bellcrank arm should be inline with the aileron drive rod. The Steen plans show it to off of that centerline. Why not just publish this point along the spar? Another question is the height of the bracket on the spar?

Thanks,
