• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hi all,

Long time lurker finally pulling the trigger on an -11b project I've dying to start for ever now. The fuselage showed up today, in pieces... we'll see how far I get!

The side Truss is currently all laid out per plans but I've seen a couple different assembly methods on here. There is a fair amount of twist to this fuse so I'm planning saving the last couple stations till connecting the two sides. I've also seen building out the top and bottom ladders first, bending, then filling in the sides (2 wings / rbilu's build) but it seems there may be CAD involved in that process. Any +/- to either method? I've also seen mention of a manual that serves a a guide here but can't seem to locate it on the forum. could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank-you all for what I've learned from this site so far. Looking forward to learning even more!
