Hi,

It seems my oil consumption has gone up this season. I'm trying to figure out what my exact burn rate is, but it seems I'm feeding my engine a quart of oil every 5 hours or so.

After my flights I am noticing some drips from my breather which is routed down the gear leg. The end of that tube is cut at a 45 degree angle into the oncoming air.

1. Could the airflow pas the breather be drawing low pressure on the breather an draw oil out and cause high oil consumption?

2. If the cause is blow-by or a worn valve guide, how can I tell the difference?

Any other thoughts on where to start troubleshooting this one?

Thanks,
Glenn
