Pober Super Ace plans for sale for $50.00 with free shipping in USA. I know it's not a biplane, but it's still pretty interesting.

After spending 55 hours flying my dad's Baby ace I think open cockpit parasols are almost as alluring as biplanes. I don't know why a bunch of these Super Ace's weren't built. Thats a bargain price on the plans. I have set #19.
Edit: I looked and my plans are #19, not 109 like I thought.

I'm always slow. Over on another forum someone just bought the prototype and is bringing it back to flying status.

EAA sold it minus engine a few years ago for $7,500. I didn't have the means to buy it, but have always liked it.

I remember when the prototype was at Oshkosh in '92. I took a lot of pictures of it and sat in it. I liked the seating position as it was like sitting in an S2 Pitts without the bottom wing. Behind the wing the vis is a little better. The prototype was underpowered and had CG issues with a C85. It sold on ebay for 7 grand. That was a steal.

Im not the auto engine flag waving nut, but this plane would be pretty cool with a Wittman Buick/Olds V8. I wonder what it would take to up the aerobatic tolerance?
