I need some advice on my Pitts rigging.
By all checks and multiple different checks (rigging boards, smart level, laser level) the wings are straight and rigged perfect, or at least with in a pencil line degree of era. I have checked it several times carefully.
My issue is that I have a heavy right wing. In straight and level flight all ailerons are in perfect alignment with the trailing edge and the plane flies straight and level. When I let the stick go it turns to the right and the ailerons move about an 1/8" so that's a pretty good turn. Not a lot of pressure on the stick but you have to hold it all the time or put your leg against it.
Do I have a aileron rig problem or a wing rig problem? I believe it is a aileron issue. Especially because of these rather large Raven ailerons. It would not take much I think to make this happen with the size of them.
I have tape a wedge under my left upper to see if I could correct it and it did help but has not resolved the problem completely.
I welcome all advice and thoughts. I have six hours on the Pitts now.
-- Thanks Curtis.
