    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Scottly, Jerry, Mark and any others building the D version,

We recently ordered our sway and stagger wires from Steen. After some
fine tuning David Stone finalized our order but asked us to drill the
forward sway wire mounts out to 3/8" holes. This is to accommodate the
appropriate AN fitting at the wire end. The stagger wire holes are fine as drawn. I think we will clamp another
piece over the piece to move the hole further in and not end up with
less material at the edge. You may want to make a note in your plans
and adjust before you make these fittings.
