I'm removing the smoke system from my S2E. (Too messy and too heavy.) I want to weld closed the holes in the exhaust for the injector nozzles. (They are now plugged with a flush rivet held in by a hose clamp.) The holes are about 4 inches below the exhaust flange.
I will have to take the exhaust to a welding shop. Is there anything special I should let them know before the welding starts? I'm not going to have problems with the flange warping, am I? Should I just leave the rivets in?
