Has anyone aerodynamically boosted the elevator's and rudder on a S-1 series Pitts? I'm also curious if anyone has ever statically balanced those controll surfaces? I've noticed a lot of airshow aircraft like the Challenger III, Prometheus, Viper Pitts, Wolf Pitts Pro, etc all have aerodynamically boosted tail surfaces. I suspect it's because these are S-2 sized aircraft and thus have heavier stick forces, however, I'm just wondering if anyone ever did it on an S-1 and what their results were.
