I'm busy working on my ailerons and will need to close the gap between the aileron ends and the wing. The gap is currently excessive and slightly uneven.
According to my Skybolt manual, one of my better purchases, it's best to make the ailerons a little short and then close the gap with balsa or ply doublers. I have both ply and balsa. Balsa seems lighter and a generally better solution for non structural filler.
Is there any guidance or accumulated wisdom about the best way to go about this?
