Here again with the dumb questions about a bird I didn't build!
I need to pull the fuel tank, and in order to do that I am removing the top skin from the fuselage. The center landing wires cross going through it - so in order to remove the skin completely those wires need to come off.
So my question is, can I just loosen those two, do my stuff, and later reattach and tension them? Or should I plan on completely de-rigging and re-rigging the flying wires? I guess my concern is that only removing the center landing wires would put some undue strain on the center section of the wing and I certainly do not want to damage it.
Additionally, these two wires are contacted somewhat firmly in the holes by which they penetrate that skin. I wonder if they should be contacting metal at all - I may take the opportunity while everything is apart to enlarge and grommet these holes if that's a smart thing to do. Thoughts on this?
Thanks all!
