Can anybody out there in biplane land explain tome the details of the design of HiperBipe wings? They look to have a Cassutt type airfoil with plywood ribs, center pressure spar with stressed skin. Does the plywoodrib web also have a cap strip top and bottom? What is the thickness of the plywood rib? What is the skin 3/32" or 1/8"? 45 or 90 degree? What is the airfoil? Any comments regarding known history of the wing design and low and high speed performance?
Thanks for any info.
