My S1 has a stock cowl with an updraft sump. In an effort to reduce weight and hopefully improve engine performance, I removed the alternate air cable and stock air box. I designed/built a new one with an integral bell mouth. My assumption is the airflow into the servo will improve relative to the stock intake, even though the stock intake has crude quasi-ramp directing air into the servo.
I doubt I’ll see anything noticeable for performance, but who knows…. Has anyone on the forum done something similar and what were the results?
