    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Jerry,

The only tap needed that I can think of is 1/4-28 for the compression tubes in the center wing section. The only dies that come to mind are the drag wires. Beyond that, I think just customized parts you think up on your own might need one or the other.
I seem to keep finding need for more and more reamers. There is quite a pile necessary to build the Skybolt. I have some straight reamers and some spiral expanding reamers I tend to use to clean out tubing after welding when another part fits inside. I get all of those from MSC and buy taps and dies from them as well. Great selection and fast turnaround. I get them in one day from Reno by ground UPS. I know they have a sister company somewhere back East but the name escapes me.
