A local Skybolt builder wishes to sell an almost ready to fly project. He isn't an internet type of guy, so he has asked me to post this for him. The plane is at Lakeway, Austin, Texas. $47K OBO. PM me for his contact details, if interested.I have seen the build several times, and it looks good quality. The engine has been rebuilt. The rebuild was done by a local engine guy - who I know very well (he's also our chapter EAA tech counselor, I plan on using him for my engine rebuild).uploads/20110928_063701_N51PR_logs22222.pdf
"Fuselage is completed, covered,
primed and ready forpaintand cowlings finished and primed.

engine wiring and canopy and ready to fly. Everything has been fitted and ready
to go back together, and I have all flying wires and fittings. I have over $80,000. in it to date trying to make it a show winner
and know the engine/prop combo alone is worth $30,000 to an RV-10 builder."

I have a ton of photos at home if interested.

Also, when I was looking at this, I got two quotes for painting the fuselage and tail feathers...both for around $5K if that helps anyone

Could you please send additional pics. I want to show them to a friend that would finish the project for me. I wouldn't fly anything I built. I am very interested. Also, maybe a list of any additional parts of consequence that might be needed so I have some idea of total cost.

thanks, frank stone

Here's a link to a bunch of photos I took a couple of years ago of the project. As I recall, he has a steen canopy in the box, prop, lexan for the belly. Wings are already painted. Fuselage and tail need paint. Pretty close to flying. Sheet metal is ready as I recall. Not for certain on the cowling. I'd give him a call. Beej can probably provide the phone number.
Best regards,
Brad
